  Instructing me instructing you

Are you seeing instructions from MROs that are themselves instructed by an MRO?

The Register Helpline has received a few calls recently about instructions experts have received that appear to come via a medical reporting agency that is itself instructed by another medical reporting agency! In the examples we have seen, a key tell-tale marker has been that the correspondence has evidence of multiple reference numbers, none of which are related to the originating law firm.

We would be interested to hear from any experts who have seen similar behaviour. It may be that it is a reaction of the MRO marketplace to the imposition of the MedCo system (see Medco Madness II).
