Dr Sarma has a particular interest in coronary artery and heart valve disease, as well as cardiovascular health improvement. Dr Sarma undertakes a wide range of complex percutaneous (keyhole) procedures, including stenting of narrowed and blocked heart arteries and valve treatments.

I am a full-time NHS interventional cardiologist (percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or angioplasty and stenting) and general cardiologist. I am dual-accredited in general internal medicine. I sit on the BCS national council.
