I am the Clinical Lead for Acute Medicine and Acute Frailty. I also review complaints and author serious incident reports. Common themes are delays in the treatment of: • Sepsis • Acute kidney injuries • Chest pain • Pulmonary embolism/venous thromboembolism (VTE) • Delirium • Falls • Seizures • Complications of alcohol I manage diabetes and endocrine patients both acutely (like acute diabetic feet/DKA) and long term (conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal conditions, osteoporosis and hypercalcaemia).

Dr Younis is experienced in the management of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary diseases. In addition, he is also experienced in the management of type I and type II diabetes and has a specific interest in patient education, insulin complex pathways and complications of diabetes, such as neuropathy, renal disease, diabetic eye disease and diabetic foot disease. From a general internal medicine perspective, Dr Younis treats hypertension, osteoporosis and lipid disorders.
